This assignment is an opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned in an alternate way. It is not a quiz or exam, it is not a written response. The hope is that it gives you a chance to play with design, be creative, while you share what you have learned in the past four modules #13-16.
You will create a Concept Map (Matching and Mapping Dance). Using the artists and information from modules #13-16, create a concept map linking ideas, artists, places, companies, quotes, dances together. Everyone’s should look a little different. The information will be the same, but you choose the layout. Be creative.
Refer to all the lectures and other materials in the past four modules. You may also add information that was not included in the module, as supplements. Use the information in the 3 columns below. Please note that artists and concepts and places will be repeated. It is not a one-to-one match, meaning there will be multiple points of connection and repetition (more than one artist valued pedestrian dance, for example). Play with the “family tree” idea for these artists. Many of them are connected.
You may design your concept map digitally, or by hand and then take a screen shot. Upload it here to this assignment. Please be sure it is in a format I can open. Any PDF, jpeg, etc.
You should include everything in the 3 columns, but please also add additional information. You can find more points in the module or with any outside resource. Do a bit of research into any of the artists that were interesting to you. There are infinite examples online of various concept maps. You can look through them to get ideas.
This assignment is worth 10 points so I am giving you more time to complete and execute. It must be submitted by Tuesday Oct 27th 11:59pm. Let me know if you have questions.
They are mismatched and not in order. You get to match them!
