Introduction – describe the company that you researched throughout the semester. Include a brief history, company valuation including stock price and three-year company revenues, products and services offered, locations, competitors, global operations, and industry position.
Presentation of Findings – Using knowledge gained throughout the course about the various areas of business, identify two (2) areas of business (chapters) that interest you enough to possibly pursue more advanced business studies or career opportunities. Describe those business areas/functions as they relate to chapter content. Include internal and external factors about the function that make it important to the successful operation of the business. Be sure to incorporate your research into this area through citations.

For example Marketing: You will fully detail the marketing function of that company incorporating the competencies learned in the chapter. Specifically for marketing you may address the company’s branding and promotional strategies and how they contribute to the company’s success. You may include a description of their product lines and the market segments they target as well as the mediums used to reach those target markets. Finally, you should include an overview of the jobs available within that company that are related to the role you have selected or roles that fall within the department that you have selected.

Reflection – In this final portion of your paper, you will reflect upon your learning throughout the course. Here you will share your professional career goals and your plan to pursue those goals. The reflection should include a statement of the careers that interest you and how those careers contribute to a company’s success in the business environment. Include details that you have learned (what you know) from our text, your personality assessment results, Career Coach, What Can I Do with My Major, the Student Leadership Series, and the Career Services appointment. The section should reflect why this may be a good career option for you, your expected earnings, and what it will take to become successful in that career.
